I just ran into another potential hiccup during my planning of an upcoming streaming event I am trying to have with a buddy of mine that I was hoping someone might be able to shed some light on. My end goal is to be able to stream while not sacrificing my gaming experience, and this is the missing puzzle piece to me accomplishing this.Īny help at all would be infinitely appreciated!

I'm assuming the issue is the Elgato HD60 S capture card? Are there any known capture cards that would support this as far as anyone knows? I really don't care about the stream itself outputting to Twitch in anything but stereo, as long as I can hear the 7.1 from the game I'm playing. I would very much like to fix this and I have no clue what I can do. To fix this, I undid the 7.1 speaker configuration I set for Voicemeeter in the sound control panel and it fixed it at the expense of me no longer being able to to hear 7.1 surround sound. Main characters speaking in the game were muted while random ambient noise was front and center for them. While it worked on my end, after testing out the stream, only certain audio channels from the game were actually being heard by the viewers. Finally, I was finally able to get my audio to work with 7.1 output to my headphones (or so I thought). I did this by going into Windows 10 settings and configuring the speakers for Voicemeeter to be 7.1. I was having trouble at first getting my audio to output to 7.1 through my headphones, which shouldn't be a problem since Voicemeeter doesn't do anything to modify the audio it just funnels it through and directs it to where I tell it to.

In order to control my audio channels, I use Voicemeeter Banana.
